March 18 (SeeNews) - Romania recorded the EU's highest annual inflation rate in February, at 7.1%, followed by Croatia with 4.8%, the EU's statistical office said on Monday.
Romania also marked the highest monthly rise in consumer prices among EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE) last month, at 0.8%, Eurostat said in a data release.
In contrast, Greece posted the lowest monthly increase in consumer prices among EU members in SEE, at 0.1%, while the EU as a whole registered a monthly inflation of 0.6%.
Greece recorded the lowest annual inflation in the region in February, as well, at 3.1%, slightly higher than the EU average of 2.8%.
