October 3 (SeeNews) - Romania posted the highest annual increase of retail trade volume in August among all EU members for which data is available, the bloc's statistical office said on Thursday.
Romania's retail sales volume rose most among EU members for a second consecutive month, as it added 7.4% year-on-year in August, after posting a 7.0% rise in July, Eurostat data showed.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, Croatia posted the third-largest month-on-month decrease in retail trade volume - of 1.1%.
