In October alone, registrations slid by an annual 13.4% to 6,782 in Romania, ACEA, said in a statement on its website.
New passenger car registrations in the European Union (EU) and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) under the brand of Romanian carmaker Dacia eased by 3.1% on the year to 196,264 through October. The market share of Dacia climbed 0.1 percentage points to 1.9%.
In October alone, car registrations under the Dacia brand, owned by France's Renault, decreased by 6.8% on the year to 21,093, giving it a market share of 2.2%.
New passenger car registrations in the EU, excluding Malta, went down by 7.3% on the year to about 10.3 million units in the first ten months of 2012.
