Romania awards 197.7 mln lei (43.6 mln euro) road upgrade contract to Spanish-Romanian tie-up

December 7 (SeeNews) - Romania’s public roads authority CNADNR said on Friday it had awarded a 197.7 million lei ($56.3 million/43.6 million euro) road upgrade contract to a tie-up comprising Spain's Comsa Sau and Romania's Corporate Management Solutions.

The value of the contract excludes value-added tax.

The contract, awarded in an open bid tender, involves the rehabilitation of a 44.6-kilometre long section of national road 66 in southwestern Romania, CNADNR said in a statement.

The duration of the contract is 18 months, to be followed by a warranty period of 24 months.

The project is financed by the Romanian government and the European Investment Bank.
