November 27 (SeeNews) - Germany-based food retailer REWE said it has opened two new Penny stores in Romania, one each in Bucharest and Corunca, in the north-central county of Mures.
The two new stores bring Penny's footprint in Romania to 355 units, the company said in a press release on Friday.
The Bucharest store spans 580 sq m while the one in Corunca spreads on more than 850 sq m.
REWE entered the Romanian market in 2005. Four logistics centers - in Stefanestii de Jos, Turda, Filiasi and Bacau, serve its network of stores.
