February 28 (SeeNews) - German supermarket chain REWE said on Wednesday it has opened a new Penny store in Romania, its 377th in the country.
The new store is located in Moinesti, in the northeastern county of Bacau, and marks Penny Romania's first new store of 2024, the company said in a press release.
The Moinesti store spans 920 square metres and has 55 parking spaces.
REWE entered the Romanian market in 2005. The company employs over 6,500 people in the country and has four logistics centres - in Stefanestii de Jos, Turda, Filiasi, and Bacau, which serve its network of stores.
