December 27 (SeeNews) - Romanian retailer Mega Image plans to open 80-90 new outlets in Romania in 2013, local media reported on Thursday quoting market sources.
Mega Image has opened 88 supermarkets this year, financial daily Ziarul Financiar (www.zf.ro) said.
Company representatives declined to comment on the retailer's expansion plans, the daily added.
Mega Image, controlled by Belgian food retailer Delhaize, operates a supermarket chain under the Mega Image brand and a network of convenience stores under the Shop&Go brand.
The retailer will operate 193 supermarkets in Romania by the end of this year, Ziarul Financiar added.
