The rooftop-mounted solar plant installed at textile company Romtextil's factory in the coastal city of Constanta has a capacity of 807 kW and costs more than 500,000 euro ($536,573), local media outlet Bursa.ro reported on Thursday.

The rooftop installation, which spans 6,480 sq m, will generate 888 MWh of power annually, covering 12% of Romtextil's yearly electricity needs. It will reduce CO2 emissions and eliminate radioactive waste by 293 tonnes and 2.7 kg, respectively, per year.

Restart Energy also installed a solar system spanning 2,800 sq m on a warehouse owned by food product logistics and distribution company Nordic Group, in the southern county of Giurgiu, the renewables developer said in a social media post on Thursday.

This solar plant, which has an installed capacity of 302 kW, will produce 337 MWh of electricity yearly, covering 20% of the warehouse's annual power needs, and will reduce CO2 emissions and radioactive waste by 106 tonnes and 1 kg, respectively, per year, local media outlet Profit.ro reported on Monday.

Restart Energy will also install a 160 kW solar system, spanning 900 sq m, on a Nordic Group warehouse in the western county of Timis. This PV plant will produce 168 MW of power yearly, covering 48% of the warehouse's annual electricity needs, and will reduce CO2 emissions by 53 tonnes annually. Work on the planned solar system in Timis is expected to start by the end of April, as per the report.

Nordic Group's total investment for the two solar plants amounts to 250,000 euro.

Established in 2015, Restart Energy is part of renewable energy group Armand, founded by Armand Domuta.
