Renault to move production of Symbol sedan to Romania from Turkey

The previous Symbol generation was produced in Turkey's Bursa, where now the French carmaker will produce its Renault Clio IV hatchback. Renault will produce over 100,000 Renault Symbols in Romania, Dacia said in a statement made available to SeeNews on Friday.

The decision to move production od Symbol to the factory in Mioveni was made because both Dacia's Logan sedan and Renault's Symbol models share the same technical platform.

The new Renault Symbol will not be sold in Romania, Dacia's commercial director Thomas Dubruel said.

Dacia is a unit of Renault group.
