The company has reported more than 10,000 transactions last year, compared to over 11,000 in 2022, it said in a press release on Monday.

By the end of the current year, the company aims to increase its commission volume to about 15 million euro, expand to over 70 offices nationwide, and enlist 870 real estate agents.

In 2023 RE/MAX Romania offices facilitated transactions totaling 281 million euro, with about 82% comprising residential sales, 8% land transactions, 8% commercial and office spaces, and 2% industrial properties. Of the total transactions, about 86% were sales and 14% rentals.

The cities leading the transaction charts were Bucharest, Brasov, and Oradea, with the capital city also holding the highest-valued properties transacted by RE/MAX agents last year.

"[...] 2024 promises to be a good year for Romania's real estate market, which remains relatively affordable within the European Union, with significantly greater growth potential than western European markets," said Razvan Cuc, President of RE/MAX Romania.

RE/MAX was established in Denver in 1973, currently having more than 14,000 affiliated employees worldwide and 8,300 offices.
