RBI's operating income from operations in Romania grew 3.6% on the year in the first nine months of 2020, reaching 405 million euro, the bank said in an unaudited financial report for January-September 2020.
Net interest income edged up 0.5% year-on-year to 279 million euro in the review period, while net fee and commission income fell 10.5% to 115 million euro.
The number of customers fell by 3% on the year to 2.2 million at the end of September.
Raiffeisen's non-performing loan (NPL) ratio in Romania dropped to 2.6% at the end of September 2020, from 3.4% a year earlier. The coverage of NPLs with provisions rose to 71.9% at the end of September 2020, from 55.4% at the end of September last year.
RBI's loan portfolio in Romania edged down by an annual 0.1% to 5.951 billion euro at end-September, while customer deposits rose 13.8% on the year to 8.495 billion euro. The ratio of net loans to deposits reached 67.5% as at the end of September.
Raiffeisen Bank had 344 branches in Romania at the end of September and employed 5,090 people.
