RBI's operating income from operations in Romania rose by an annual 17.8% during January-September to 478 million euro, the banking group said in an unaudited nine-months financial report.
Net interest income from operations in Romania rose 28.1% on the year to 348 million euro in the review period, while net fee and commission income rose 6.4% on the year to 137 million euro.
Raiffeisen's non-performing loan (NPL) ratio in Romania dropped to 1.8% at the end of September 2022, from 2.3% a year earlier. The coverage of NPLs with provisions dropped to 70.2%, from 71.1% at the end of September last year.
RBI's loan portfolio in Romania increased by an annual 24.3% to 8.19 billion euro at end-September, while customer deposits rose 6.8% on the year to 10.1 billion euro. The ratio of net loans to deposits reached 80% as at the end of September.
The number of customers was 2.3 million at the end of September 2022, compared to 2.2 million at end-September 2021.
Raiffeisen Bank had 299 branches in Romania at the end of September and employed 5,029 people.
