In 2018 and 2019, Albania's economy is expected to grow at the same annual rate, by 4.0%, RBI said in its latest Central & Eastern European Strategy report published last week.
In 2016, the country's economy grew by 3.5%, data from the report shows.
According to RBI, Albania's consumer price inflation is expected to reach 2.2% in 2017, accelerating from 1.3% in the previous year. RBI expects inflation to further accelerate in 2018 and 2019, to 2.7% and 3.5%, respectively.
Current account deficit is projected to increase to 9.2% of GDP in 2017 and rise further to 9.4% in 2018. In 2019, Albania's current account deficit is projected to decrease to 7.9%.
