BELGRADE (Serbia), December 23 (SeeNews) – Italy’s Fiat will move the production of its model 500 to Serbia from Poland, Belgrade-based media reported on Wednesday.
The Polish factory in the town of Tihi will remain without its most popular models after Fiat moves the production of the Panda model to Italy and the production of Fiat 500 to the town of Kragujevac, in central Serbia, b92 (www.b92.net) quoted Polish media as saying.
Fiat will invest 100 million euro ($142 million) in its joint automotive venture with Serbia, Fiat Automobili Srbija (FAS) by the end of this year, b92 reported on Monday. FAS will produce yearly about 200,000 vehicles of the Punto and the Fiat 500 models.
