ProCredit Bank Kosovo 9-mo Net Profit Rises 17.7% To 15 Mln Euro

ProCredit Bank Kosovo reported a net profit rise of 17.7% to 14.89 million euro ($18.65 million) in the first nine months fo 2008.

The bank’s 2006 net profit was 7.84 million euro.

ProCredit Bank Kosovo, initially known as Micro Enterprise Bank, was the first licensed in Kosovo just 11 months after the end of the 1999 armed conflict.

In the autumn of 2003 MEB was renamed to ProCredit Bank Kosovo, joining the international banking group ProCredit, currently its majority owner with a 83.33% stake. The remaining shares are owned by Germany's Commerzbank.
