October 18 (SeeNews) - ESG-focused private equity fund Abris Capital Partners said on Tuesday it has backed Polish portfolio company Alsendo in acquiring a majority stake in Romanian Software as a service (SaaS) delivery management platform Innoship for an undisclosed sum.
The takeover aims to steer Alsendo’s transition from reselling into a technology-driven business model with a focus on SaaS products for both SMEs and large enterprises, Abris said in a press release.

Targeted synergies include an accelerated delivery of SaaS solutions in Poland, along with the consolidation of both companies’ offerings to Central European markets and the expansion of Alsendo’s market share in Romania.
Following the acquisition, Innoship’s four founders will stay on board and team up with Alsendo.
"We will continue to capitalize on the strong growth of the underlying e-commerce sector in Europe, as well as investing in the technology platform and pursuing international expansion, as we seek to grow Alsendo further. We will also focus on strengthening the merged teams and developing management and leadership talent with experience in SaaS," Edgar Kolesnik, partner at Abris Capital Partners said.
Alsendo’s acquisition of Innoship followed the purchase of a majority in Czech delivery platform Zaslat in September and of Polish delivery platform for individual customers Sendit in 2021.
Alsendo was acquired by Abris in 2020 as part of a plan to create the leading provider of shipping solutions in Central Europe.
Innoship is a SaaS delivery management platform founded in Romania in 2019, offering technology solutions to over 200 medium and large retailers across Europe.
Established in 2007, Abris Capital Partners manages three investment funds totalling roughly 1.3 billion euro ($1.27 billion), with a company portfolio spanning seven countries and fifteen sectors.
