March 11 (SeeNews) - Croatian autonomous vehicle startup Project 3 Mobility said on Monday has started the first phase of testing for its Autonomous Driving (AD) system in Zagreb as part of its urban mobility project for the Croatian capital.
Data collection vehicles are being deployed to gather traffic data, including lanes, road edges, signage, and markings, to map Zagreb's road layout, the company said in a Linkedin post.
These data support the development and validation of P3's future service, ensuring safety and efficiency, it added.
Last month, Project 3 Mobility announced that it closed its Series-A investment round, taking the total amount raised from private investors to some 100 million euro ($109 million) to support the company's growth.
Later in February, Israeli autonomous driving company Mobileye said on Tuesday it has teamed up with Project 3 Mobility to develop a new urban autonomous mobility service set to launch in Zagreb in 2026.
Croatian businessman Mate Rimac, his Rimac Group, South Korea's Kia Corporation, Croatian IT company Infinum are among the owners of Project 3 Mobility.
