Orange Romania mulls launching TV service in 2013 - media

Orange did not comment on the media reports when asked by financial daily Ziarul Financiar, however, Orange's CEO, Francois Fallacher, said at a digital event last month that Orange Romania will certainly offer television for the mobile devices in its network, Ziarul Financiar (www.zf.ro) noted. Fallacher did not specify then whether it would be a satellite TV service.

France Telecom offers both Internet and satellite television in other countries and if it launches the service in Romania it will compete with players such as RCS&RDS and Cosmote & Romtelecom, which apart from fixed and mobile communication services offer cable, Internet and satellite television, the newspaper added.
