BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), November 28 (SeeNews) – Norway’s Technor Energy ASA plans to invest 200 million euro ($259 million) in the construction of six small hydropower stations along the lower Bosna river in northern Bosnia, the government of Bosnia’s Serb Republic said on Friday.

In its project for the development, management, protection and harnessing of the hydro potential of the river section between the towns of Doboj and Modrica, the Norwegian company proposes to build six power plants with a combined installed capacity of 76 megawatts, the government said in a statement after a meeting of the Serb Republic Prime Minister Milorad Dodik with top Technor executives.

No information was immediately available on the proposed timeframe of the project.

The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous parts of post-war Bosnia. The other is the Muslim-Croat Federation.
