This compares to a net profit of 3.2 million euro in the first nine months of 2016 reported by the bank last year.

Both corporate and household lending significantly increased in the reviewed period, NLB Banka Beograd said in a statement, without providing comparative figures.

The bank continues to see growth in all segments, its executive board chairman, Branko Greganovic, is quoted saying.

On Thursday, Slovenia's largest lender, state-owned NLB, said its consolidated net profit doubled to 184 million euro in the first nine months of 2017.
