NIS tops turnover list on Belgrade bourse, share indices rise

September 25 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as stock indices ended up, bourse data showed.

A total of 3,827 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 2.2 million dinars. NIS closed down 1.03% at 574 dinars.

The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session up 0.24% at 693.46 points.

Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] was the sole gainer among the blue chips, as its share price rose 1.92% to 2,650 dinars.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.12% at 1,505.38.

The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 369.8 million dinars ($3.7 million/3.1 million euro) on Friday, down from 1.692 billion dinars on Thursday, as 75 transactions were carried out.

Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 1.7 million dinars.

Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 365.6 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Friday.

In the period between September 21 and 25, BELEX15 went up 0.73% and BELEXline rose by 0.71%.

The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 2.562 billion dinars, versus 23.2 million dinars last week.

Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 2.545 billion dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange this week, versus 1.7 million dinars last week.
