NIS tops turnover list on Belgrade bourse, share indices end up

October 16 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.

A total of 2,720 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 1.5 million dinars. NIS closed flat at 558 dinars.

The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session up 0.30% at 692.01 points.

Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] led the blue-chip gainers' list as its share price rose 1.51% to 2,690 dinars.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.15% at 1,493.09.

The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 5.8 million dinars ($57,900/49,300 euro) on Friday, down from 228.3 million dinars on Thursday, as 110 transactions were carried out.

Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 127,305 dinars.

In the period between October 12 and October 16, BELEX15 went up by 0.31% and BELEXline rose by 0.14%.

The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 1.837 billion dinars, versus 44.8 million dinars last week.

Treasury bonds contributed 1.813 billion dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange this week.
