NIS tops turnover list on Belgrade bourse, share indices end up

November 12 (SeeNews) - Agricultural chemicals producer Galenika Fitofarmacija [BEL:FITO] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Tuesday, as stock indices ended up, bourse data showed.

A total of 902,771 Galenika Fitofarmacija shares changed hands in turnover of 2.73 billion dinars. Galenika Fitofarmacija shares closed up 3.92% at 3,024 dinars.

The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 1.41% higher at 762.55 points.

Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] led the blue-chip gainers' list as its share price rose 5.47% to 3,008 dinars.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.89% at 1,641.09.

The Belgrade Stock Exchange was closed on Monday due to a public holiday.

The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 2.748 billion dinars ($25.8 million/23.4 million euro) on Tuesday, up from Friday's 24.1 million dinars, as 204 transactions were carried out.

Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the exchange generated a turnover of 896,550 dinars.

Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 6.5 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Tuesday.
