October 9 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 31,545 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 21.5 million dinars. NIS shares closed down 0.58% at 680 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 0.13% lower at 747.93 points.
None of the blue-chip index members closed the session up on Wednesday.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, fell 0.01% to 1,605.43.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 59.6 million dinars ($557,200/507,500 euro) on Wednesday, down from Tuesday's 78.1 million dinars, as 162 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the exchange generated a turnover of 9.3 million dinars.
No Treasury bonds changed hands on the stock exchange on Wednesday.
