September 13 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia rose by an annual 31.9% to 732 in July, after increasing 15.7% year-on-year a month earlier, the national statistical office said on Wednesday.
The number of permits issued for buildings increased 26.1% on the year in July, reaching 609, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works fell 29.2% to 123, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The planned value of works covered by the total number of construction permits issued in July reached 2.3 billion kuna ($369 million/308 million euro).
Out of the total number of permits issued in July, 512 were for new construction, while 220 related to reconstruction.
Based on the number of permits issued in July, 905 dwellings were planned, up 30.6% year-on-year.
