November 14 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia rose by an annual 13.7% to 872 in September, after increasing 14% year-on-year a month earlier, the national statistical office said on Tuesday.
The number of permits issued for buildings increased 13.1% on the year in September, reaching 684, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works rose 16% to 188, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The planned value of works covered by the total number of construction permits issued in September reached 1.7 billion kuna ($264.3 million/225.1 million euro).
Out of the total number of permits issued in September, 610 were for new construction, while 262 related to reconstruction.
Based on the number of permits issued in September, 841 dwellings were planned, down 22.4% year-on-year.
