In May alone, registrations increased 14.4% year-on-year to 15,477 vehicles, APIA said in a press release on Monday.
Light commercial vehicle registrations, including minibuses, increased by an annual 24.6% to 1,526 units in May, while registrations of heavy commercial vehicles and buses dropped 11.3% to 661 units.
As many as 36% of the new passenger cars registered in Romania during the January-May period were manufactured by Dacia.
