New passenger car registrations in Romania down 25.3% y/y in Jan-Nov - ACEA

BUCHAREST (Romania), December 18 (SeeNews) – New passenger car registrations in Romania decreased 25.3% to 110,377 in the first eleven months of 2020, provisional data from the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, ACEA, indicated.

In November alone, new passenger car registrations in Romania edged up 1.2% to 13,253 units, ACEA said in a statement on Thursday.

Romanian car maker Dacia's sales in the EU fell by 30.8% year-on-year to 341,197 units in the January-November period.  Dacia's market share decreased to 3.8% in January-November compared to 4.1% in the same period of last year.

New passenger car registrations in the EU, excluding Malta, decreased by an annual 25.5% in January-November, reaching 8.911 million units.

New passenger car registrations in Romania rose 23.4% year-on-year to 161,562 in 2019.
