New car sales in Croatia up 5.4% y/y in Nov - market research agency

December 5 (SeeNews) - Sales of new passenger cars in Croatia rose to 2,698 in November from 2,560 in the same month of 2021, market research agency Promocija Plus said on Monday.

Volkswagen was the top-selling brand in the country of some 3.89 million people with 399 cars sold in November, Promocija Plus said in a statement. Its sales rose on an annual comparison basis, from 162 cars sold in November 2021.

Skoda followed with 298 cars, up from 218 in November 2021, and Renault ranked third with 257 cars, down from 318 last year.

The best-selling models in November were Volkswagen Taigo with 106 cars sold, followed by Skoda Octavia with 86 ones, and Volkswagen Tiguan and Volkswagen T-Cross, each with 67 cars sold.

New car sales in the first 11 months of 2022 totalled 41,385, down 3.3% compared to the same period of 2021.

In 2021, sales of new passenger cars in Croatia rose by 25.5% to 45,389 vehicles.
