New car sales in Croatia up 13.5% y/y in April

May 7 (SeeNews) - Sales of new passenger cars in Croatia rose to 7,083 in April from 6,240 in the same month of 2023, market research agency Promocija Plus said.

Skoda was the top-selling brand in the country of some 3.89 million people with 1,083 cars sold in April, Promocija Plus said in a statement on Monday. Its sales rose on an annual comparison basis, from 650 cars sold in April 2023.

Renault followed with 769 cars, up from 716 in April 2023. Opel ranked third with 711 cars, up from 488 in April last year.

The best-selling models in April were Skoda Octavia with 591 cars, Renault Clio with 444 ones and Opel Corsa with 395 cars sold.

New car sales in the Adriatic country 2023 reached 56,697 last year, up from 44,088 in 2022, according to figures announced last month by the agency.
