December 10 (SeeNews) - Net investment in Romania's economy increased 18.6% on the year in the first nine months of 2019, reaching 67.1 billion lei ($15.5 billion/14 billion euro), the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
Net investment in machinery and equipment, including vehicles, rose by 4.8% year-on-year in the first nine months of the year, while net investment in new construction jumped by 34%.
Combined investments in other sectors rose by an annual 6.9% on the year during January-September, the statistical office said.
In the third quarter alone, net investment in Romania's economy jumped by an annual 26.8% to 26.84 billion lei.
