February 29 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's UNI Banka [MSE:UNI] said that its net profit rose 39.6% on the year to 476.5 million denars ($8.4 million/7.7 million euro) in 2023.
UNI Banka's net interest income rose to 1.2 billion denars in 2023 from 971.1 million denars a year earlier, the lender said in a bourse filing on Wednesday.
Net fee and commission income fell to 296 million denars in the year under review from 319.6 million denars a year earlier.
The lender's assets rose to 28.1 billion denars at the end of 2023, from 25.9 billion denars at the end of 2022.
Loans and advances to customers other than banks dropped to 17.4 billion denars from 18 billion denars at the end of last year, while deposits from such customers increased to 21.3 billion denars in 2023, from 19.5 billion denars at the end of last year.
The lender's shares last traded on the Macedonian Stock exchange (MSE) at an average price of 7,100 denars on Wednesday, latest bourse data shows.
