November 27 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones (TIDZ) said it has launched a tender to award one or multiple public-private partnership contracts (PPP) for the design, construction, financing and operation of photovoltaic power plants in five technological industrial development zones.
TIDZ expects to attract investments totaling 40 million euro ($43.8 million) in the construction of solar power plants with a combined capacity of about 50 MW, it said in a notice on Saturday.
Multiple companies can be awarded separate lots in the technological industrial development zones in Skopje, Shtip, Strumica, Prilep and Struga.
Under the planned 25-year PPPs, the government will receive a percentage of the revenues, along with an additional fixed compensation for the land.
The call is open until December 29.
TIDZ is the governmental managing body responsible for developing free economic zones throughout North Macedonia. Currently, it manages 14 free economic zones throughout the country.
