N. Macedonia's retail sales real growth speeds up to 10.8% y/y in Oct

SKOPJE (North Macedonia), December 2 (SeeNews) – North Macedonia's retail sales rose by a real 10.8% year-on-year in October, following a 9.8% increase in September, the country's statistical office said.

Inflation

In nominal terms, retail sales grew by 8.7% on the year in October, after a 8.4% rise in September, Makstat said in a statement on Friday.

Following are details on North Macedonia's retail sales in October by main categories (y/y pct change):

  real nominal
Retail trade except motor vehicles 10.8 8.7
- retail trade of food, beverages, tobacco 5.9 7.4
- retail trade of non-food products (except  fuel) 20.5 20.3
- retail trade (except automotive fuel) 13.5 14.2
- retail trade of automotive fuel -3.6 -12.4
