N. Macedonia's Pekabesko seeks power production licence for PV plant

February 7 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based meat processing company Pekabesko [MSE:PKB] has applied for a licence to produce electricity at a 527.22 kW rooftop solar power plant, the country's energy regulator said.

Pekabesko intends to sell the electricity on the free market, North Macedonia's Energy and Water Services Regulatory Commission said in a statement on Tuesday.

The requested duration of the licence is 25 years.

Pekabesko obtained approval from the Ilinden municipality to build the solar power plant in 2018, according to the statement.

The company's shares last traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on October 3, when they switched hands at an average price of 16,500 denars ($288.5/268 euro).
