November 2 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's power transmission company AD MEPSO said that it invested 4.9 million euro ($4.8 million) in new equipment for telecommunications and remote monitoring activities.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) provided 2.9 million euro of the investment, with the company contributing the remainder, state-owned MEPSO said in a statement on Tuesday.

The new equipment guarantees quick, dependable, and accurate data transfer, uninterrupted electricity delivery, and reduces the possibility of any interruptions due to malfunctions or bad weather, the power transmission company noted, adding that with the solution MEPSO begins the process of digitising its transmission network.
