April 19 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's power utility Elektrani na Severna Makedonija (ESM) said it signed a contract worth 282 million denars ($4.9 million/4.6 million euro), VAT included, with Serbia's manufacturer of technical fabrics Epbelt Doo Loznica for the procurement of conveyor belts for the mines of the REK Bitola thermal power plant.
Epbelt was selected as the winner in a tender for the procurement, which also attracted an offer by the local company Projkoski Nikola GVN-Prom, ESM said in a notice published on the country's public procurement portal earlier this week.
ESM and Epbelt signed the agreement on April 5.
REK Bitola accounts for over 72% of North Macedonia's total energy production.
