September 2 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's economic output expanded by an estimated 2.8% year-on-year in real terms in the second quarter of 2022, after rising by 2.4% in the previous three-month period, the country's statistical office said on Friday, citing preliminary data.
Gross domestic product (GDP) totalled 202.9 billion denars ($3.288 million/3.291 million euro at current prices in the April-June period, Makstat said in a statement.
Exports of goods and services rose by an annual 27.1% in nominal terms, while imports increased by 34.9% in the quarter under review.
Household final consumption grew by an estimated 14.7% on the year in the second quarter.
North Macedonia's GDP expanded by an estimated 4% in 2021 after falling by 4.5% in 2020.
