N. Macedonia's Centralna Kooperativna Banka posts higher 9-mo net profit

October 31 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's Centralna Kooperativna Banka [MSE:CKB] said it closed the first nine months of 2022 with a net profit of 31 million denars ($499,555/502,606 euro), compared with a profit of 11.9 million denars in the same period last year.

Net financial asset impairment losses decreased to 6.5 million denars in January-September from 21.8 million denars in the first nine months of 2021, the bank said in an interim financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse on Friday.

Net interest income edged down to 208.3 million denars in the period under review, from 209.6 million denars last year, whereas net fee and commission income rose to 79.9 million denars from 68.4 million denars.

The bank's assets decreased to 11.2 billion denars at the end of September, from 11.4 billion denars at the end of 2021.

Loans and advances to customers other than banks inched up to 7.5 billion denars at the end of September from 7.3 billion denars at the end of last year, while deposits from customers other than banks decreased to 9.3 billion denars from 9.7 billion denars.
