N. Macedonia's Cementarnica Usje net profit falls 41% y/y in Jan-Sept

October 21 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's building materials producer Cementarnica Usje [MSE:USJE], a unit of Greek cement producer Titan, said that its net profit fell by an annual 41% to 621.2 million denars ($9.9 million/10.1 million euro) in the nine months through September.

Cementarnica Usje's operating expenses rose 46% on the year to 4.1 billion denars in the January-September period, as costs for materials were 78% higher at 2.5 billion denars, the company said in an interim financial statement on Thursday.

Its operating revenue grew 22% year-on-year to 4.8 billion denars in the review period.

Domestic sales added 24% to 3.1 billion denars, while sales on foreign markets rose 17% to 1.6 billion denars.

Cementarnica Usje employs more than 250 people.
