N. Macedonia's bourse main index rises in March, turnover down

April 5 (SeeNews) - The main index of the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE), the MBI10, rose 3.77% month-on-month in March, to 7,067.13 points, as total trading turnover decreased that month, the bourse said on Friday.

Turnover totalled 633.6 million denars ($11.1 million/10.3 million euro) in March, down 26% month-on-month, while turnover on the bourse's electronic system of trading (BEST) went down 34.05% to 461.95 million denars, the MSE said in a statement.

The number of transactions fell 37.19% month-on-month to 1,464 in March.

The MSE's market capitalisation totalled 263.6 billion denars at the end of March, up 2.96% month-on-month and 17.9% higher on an annual comparison basis.

The MBI10 stood at 5,843.35 points at the end of March 2023. Trading turnover on the MSE totalled 496.8 million denars in March last year, earlier bourse data showed.
