N. Macedonia's Alkaloid to pay higher dividend for 2023

April 1 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based pharmaceuticals producer Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] said on Monday its shareholders have approved a plan to distribute a gross dividend of 540 denars ($9.5/8.8 euro) per share for 2023.

The company will distribute the dividend out of its 2023 net profit, Alkaloid said in a bourse filing.

The planned dividend payout is higher than the gross dividend of 490 denars per share the company distributed for 2022.

The drug maker increased its consolidated net profit 8% year-on-year to 1.6 billion denars in 2023.

Alkaloid's shares traded at an average price of 20,422 denars on the stock exchange in Skopje on Monday.

Alkaloid has two subsidiaries in North Macedonia and 19 subsidiaries and two representative offices abroad - in Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, the U.S. and the UK.
