N. Macedonia's Alkaloid cons net profit rises 8% in 2023

Sales revenue went up 16% year-on-year, reaching 16.5 billion denars in 2023, Alkaloid said in an annual financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse.

Domestic sales added 13% on the year to 5.2 billion denars last year, while sales abroad rose 17% to 11.3 billion denars.

The cost of goods sold was 14% higher on the year at 8.9 billion denars in the year under review.

The company's shares traded at an average price of 20,700 denars on Tuesday, latest bourse data showed.

Alkaloid has two subsidiaries in North Macedonia and 19 subsidiaries and two representative offices abroad - in Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, the U.S. and the UK.
