November 25 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia posted a budget gap of 16.3 billion denars ($275.7 million/265.2 million euro) in the ten months through October, compared with a 23.6 billion denars gap in the same period last year, finance ministry data showed on Friday.
Consolidated revenues in the January-October period totalled 200.5 billion denars, higher than 178.3 billion denars in the like period of 2021, according to data published by the finance ministry.
Tax revenues rose to 1.7 billion denars from 1.1 billion denars.
In October alone, the budget was in deficit of 269 million denars, compared to 1 billion denars surplus a year earlier.
At the end of 2021, North Macedonia's budget was in deficit of 38.8 billion denars, compared with a 53.9 billion denars gap a year earlier.
The government has projected a deficit of 42.7 billion denars in the 2022 budget, equivalent to 5.3% of the estimated gross domestic product.
