SKOPJE (North Macedonia), December 10 (SeeNews) – North Macedonia's consumer prices edged down 0.1% year-on-year in November, after falling by 0.2% in the previous month, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
The prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the largest weight of 38% in the consumer basket, increased by 1.1% year-on-year in November, after growing 0.9% in October, Makstat said in a statement.
The prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, which have the second-largest weight of 13%, edged down 0.4% in November after falling 0.1% in the prior month.
Prices in the transport segment, with 8.7% weight in the consumer basket, fell 6.8% in November, following a 7.1% drop in the previous month.
On a monthly comparison basis, North Macedonia's consumer prices edged down 0.1% in November, after falling by the same level in October.
