February 12 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) increased by 0.09% to 781.76 points on Monday, with the four remaining indices closing lower, bourse data showed.
SOFIX was boosted by a 1.25% rise in Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:CCB] to 1.62 levs, along with a 1.05% gain in the Bulgarian Stock Exchange [BUL:BSE] to 14.45 levs.
Meanwhile, a 7.80% drop in parcel delivery company Speedy [BUL:SPDY] to 130.00 levs and a tumble of 5.56% to 10.20 levs in diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH] hit the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse. The index erased 0.44% to 161.28 points.
Stara Planina Hold was also the top decliner in the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The BGTR30 closed 0.14% lower at 801.03 points, further driven down by Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF], which shed 1.54% to 2.56 levs.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, dipped by 0.32% to 189.25 points as a result of the loss at Bulgarian Real Estate Fund.
An 8.17% slump in organic foods producer and distributor Smart Organic [BUL:SO] to 19.10 levs and a slide of 3.85% to 2.50 levs in Dronamics Capital [BUL:DRON] restricted the BEAMX. The index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, plunged 2.21% to 96.78 points, marking the biggest fall of the day.
Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse edged down to 423,681 levs ($233,370/216,624 euro) on Monday from 442,621 levs on Friday.
The top stock by turnover was Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER], which generated 194,755 levs with 58,310 shares traded. The company's shares closed flat at 3.34 levs.
