Most Sofia bourse indices tick higher, Shelly Group leads gainers

December 7 (SeeNews) - Three of the five indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed higher on Thursday, with the blue-chip SOFIX ticking up 0.36% to 759.25 points, bourse data showed.

The blue-chip constituents that gained the most were IoT products maker Shelly Group [BUL:SLYG], which jumped 4.90% to 42.80 levs, and agricultural leasing company Elana Agrocredit [BUL:EAC], which increased by 2.97% to 1.04 levs.

Shelly Group and Elana Agrocredit also spurred on the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, driving it up by 0.27% to 790.65 points. The index was additionally bolstered by diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH], which added 4.04% to 10.30 levs.

The BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, closed 0.08% higher at 191.35 points following a 1.35% climb at Super Borovets Property Fund REIT [BUL:SBPF] to 3.00 levs and a 0.60% advance in ROI Property Fund [BUL:RPF] to 8.45 levs.

In comparison, a 5.43% drop in diversified group Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria [BUL:ZHBG] to 0.122 levs and a 5.11% decrease in fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH] to 26.00 levs pressed the BGBX40. The index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, erased 0.80% to 156.83 points.

The BEAMX, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, dipped by 0.47% to 98.44 points. It was hit by biometric identification security systems developer Biodit [BUL:BDT], which slipped by 2.11% to 1.39 levs, and organic foods producer and distributor Smart Organic [BUL:SO], which went down 1.96% to 20.00 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse fell to some 1.76 million levs ($969,253/899,870 euro) on Thursday from 2.63 million levs on Wednesday.

The Bulgarian Stock Exchange [BUL:BSE] was the most liquid stock of the day, generating 494,885 levs with 45,195 shares traded. The company ended the session 0.46% higher at 10.95 levs.
