The SOFIX was upheld by energy and insurance conglomerate Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG], which rose 4.40% to 1.66 levs.

In contrast, Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:CCB] was the top blue-chip loser, erasing 2.65% to 1.47 levs.

The rise in Eurohold Bulgaria also stimulated gains in both the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight.

The BXBG40 made a modest advance of 0.33% to 156.94 points as its constituent Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria [BUL:ZHBG] dropped 9.16% to 0.119 levs with 3,000 shares traded. Additionally, investment firm Eleven Capital [BUL:11C] lost 3.72% to 18.10 levs.

Eleven Capital was also the top decliner amongst members of the BGTR30. Overall, the index ticked up 0.23% to 781.80 points.

Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF] was the only one of seven real estate investment trusts tracked in the BGREIT to register any trades on the day. The stock edged up 0.86% to 2.34 levs. As for the BGREIT, the index added 0.17% to 188.98 points.

The sole index to finish in red territory, BEAMX, which monitors ten highly-capitalised growth companies, shed 1.56% to 98.71 points. The BEAMX was tripped up by a 4.41% loss in health food producer Smart Organic [BUL:SO] to 19.50 levs as well as a 3.33% slide in Dronamics Capital [BUL:DRON] to 2.90 levs in a trading volume of 16,578. Sin Cars Industry [BUL:SIN] also sped downhill, retreating 2.86% to 0.68 levs.

IoT products maker Shelly Group [BUL:SLYG] was the top stock by turnover, generating 136,571 levs ($76,815/69,827 euro) with 3,331 shares changing hands. Shelly Group closed 0.24% higher at 41.00 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse plummeted to 395,279 levs from some 1.62 million levs on Monday.
