Most Sofia bourse indices decline, Eurohold paces losers

June 10 (SeeNews) - Three of the five indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) retreated on Monday, with the blue-chip SOFIX losing the most, or 0.74% to 855.63 points, bourse data showed.

The benchmark index was held back by a 5.10% drop in energy and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG] to 1.49 levs and a 3.66% dip in software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SGH] to 0.92 levs.

Eurohold and Sirma also pressed the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. Both indices were further hit by a 2.86% fall in hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:MSH] to 10.20 levs.

Overall, the BGBX40 index slipped by 0.62% to 169.53 points, while the BGTR30 tumbled 0.50% to 848.68 points.

In comparison, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, added 0.32% to 188.84 points on the back of a 1.58% increase in Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 3.21 levs.

The BEAMX, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, climbed 0.31% to 102.67 points. The index was mostly pushed up by venture capital firm Webit Investment Network [BUL:WIN], which grew by 2.23% to 0.915 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the BSE slid to 817,215 levs ($455,357/417,834 euro) on Monday from 1.46 million levs on Friday.

Alternative investment fund VF Alternative [BUL:VFAL] generated the highest turnover of the day, at 500,000 levs, as 20 shares traded. The stock closed flat at 25,000 levs.
