Turnover from information and communication services grew by 12.8% on the year in the July-September period, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement, citing preliminary data.
The increase was supported by a 20.5% jump in information service activities, along with a 13.3% climb in computer programming, consultancy and related activities.
Within the other business services segment, other professional, scientific and technical activities recorded the largest annual rise, at 35.3%. It was followed by architectural and engineering activities; technical testing and analysis, which posted a revenue increase of 34.5%.
In contrast, turnover from transportation, storage and postal services fell by 5% year-on-year in the third quarter. The decline was mainly driven by a 17% drop in water transport services and a 10.8% slip in warehousing and support activities for transportation.
